This head was built for a personal project and never used. I started with the 12H1326 which is the best of the MGB heads. All new valves and unrated dual springs. The intake valve seats were enlarged to allow for the use of a factory 1973 MGB big valve 1.625 VS the original 1.562. The head has a 5 angle valve job to accommodate better flow. 2 angles are cut on the valve and 3 on the seats. The exhaust seats are hardened so you can run unleaded. The head was professionally ported and polished to increase flow. This head with work on any pre 18v car. Since these head were not smog head they were less likely to crack. Just enlarging the seats and installing larger intake valves will give about 10% better flow. The 5 angle valve job and the porting and polishing will only add to the performance. The flow chart was for a 1600 engine but gives a clear example of the impact a 5 angle valve job will have on flow. All this work was performed by a professional race shop. Not included but to be listed separately were a set of race carbs. These were 1 1/2 enlarged to 1 3/4 with a polished intake. These carbs are rebuilt but I have not run them.
