12G940 Modified 11 stud cylinder head. It’s a MK3 S/1300 GT casting with the 12G1805 number (has been ground off for unknown reason) and letter’K’ stamped next to the thermostat housing. It’s been modified but i’m unsure who did the work. The head has been fully ported, all valve throats ground out and smoothed. The valves have replaced with stainless steel REC valves (35 mm inlet, 29 mm exhaust) along with bronze valve guides. I’ve roughly measured the chambers, and they’re about 23cc. The thickness of the head is 70.5 mm. All threads are good and none have been repaired/helicoiled. The bypass hose takeoff has been removed and needs blanking off or a new takeoff fitting. All valve seats look good along with all the valves, all have a nice grey’band’ around them. All valves seem to fit nicely into the guides with little play. This is what i was going to do before fitting to my newly built engine to ensure if was all good. Also included with the head is a new set of Minispares double valve springs part no. C-AEA525 and a new Minispares cylinder head stud kit, along with all valve top hats & collets, a new temperature sender, thermostat housing and a couple of new gaskets.
