The Cooper S head is new - the owner replaced this with a JCW head when he bought the car so literally he drove to the dealership and that's it 10 miles max. Still in the original box gleaming. God knows how much this would cost from BMW. I have just had that head polished and ported copying the finish on a Thumper TRP2 donor I had knocking around. 12G940 Modified 11 stud cylinder head. It's a MK3 S/1300 GT casting with the 12G1805 number (has been ground off for unknown reason) and letter'K' stamped next to the thermostat housing. It's been modified but i'm unsure who did the work. The head has been fully ported, all valve throats ground out and smoothed. The valves have replaced with stainless steel REC valves (35 mm inlet, 29 mm exhaust) along with bronze valve guides. I've roughly measured the chambers, and they're about 23cc. The thickness of the head is 70.5 mm. All threads are good and none have been repaired/helicoiled. The bypass hose takeoff has been removed and needs blanking…
