PEUGEOT 106 GTI / SAXO VTS – CYLINDER HEAD – PORTED & POLISHED – SPARES / REPAIR. Down as spares or repair because there is a hole/leak inside one of the exhaust ports (red circle on pic). Supplied with cam ladders, valve seals and guides. (may have a bag of standard valve if needed). Its been sitting in a garage so need a good wash/clean. I bought it from a pro go-cart race team based in Mansfield, around 2002 – I think they did the work. The head was used and ran flawlessly on a NA engine with 708’s, Jenvey TB’s and an KMS ECU making 178bhp. In 2008 I decided I wanted a boosted engine and kept this head to use. I sent it off to a (fairly well known) motorsport company to get new solid lifters shimmed. In their wisdom they decided to give it a “clean up” and somehow put a tiny hole in one of the exhaust ports. Through to the water way. (see the pic, red circle). So much work had gone in to the head that I put it away to fix one day when I got a TIG. (long neck torch with low controllable power). That never happened and now its time for a clear out.
