This is an original GM high performance aluminum intake manifolds for Big Block Chevy engines with rectangular port heads and a Holley carburetor. The intake actually has two casting numbers as shown. The larger casting number is 3885069 and the smaller one is 3886093. This is known as the “double pad” intake was was used on the 1967 L88 427 aluminum head engines. He second part number was added to this intake to identify it as the L88 style with the open plenum under the carb for higher RPM use. The casting date on the underside is 9/28/66 as shown. This is a very hard to find true 1967 L88 intake. This intake is in very good condition as shown. It came to me painted and it looked like it was done very early in the intakes life. I used plastic media to remove the paint without altering the original finish. It is not bare aluminum and looks great. The part number, firing order, and all important Winter’s Foundry casting mark are all intact and undisturbed. These could disappear if you decide to blast the intake. I see no breaks or repairs to this intake. The ports are stock with gasket matching at the ends of the ports and the intake will seal to stock ports well. This is an awesome factory 1967 L-88 intake!
